Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

It was another great day to be on the island or in the water. The temperatures were in the lower 80’s. Winds were from the North-East at 10-15 mph.

From the beach today the fishing was pretty good. In Avon there wasn’t much from the beach, but the pier there was spade fish, spanish mackerel, pompano and sea-mullet. In Buxton there was some more bluefish and spanish mackerel caught at the point. Here in Frisco there was bluefish, sea-mullet and pompano. From the Hatteras beach there was small flounder, sea-mullet, spot and bluefish caught.

Inshore today the red drum bite was great with some keepers and citations caught.

Couldn’t have asked for a better day fishing offshore. The dolphin bite was great and wahoo fishing picked up tremendously.  A few Blackfin Tuna made it on the dock as well. From the bottom there was Black Sea Bass, Vermillion Snapper, Silver Snapper, and Amberjack
