Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

the weather today was just right. The temperatures were in the mid 80’s. The skies were cloudy with a scattered rain shower. Wind picked up a little today to 10-15 mph from the North East.

From the beach today the fishing was pretty good. From the pier in Avon there was sea-mullet, spot and bluefish biting. At the point in Buxton today there was spanish mackerel and bluefish biting. Here in Frisco there was puppy drum and sea-mullet caught. In Hatteras there was spanish mackerel, bluefish, flounder and pompano biting.

Inshore today there was a good spanish and bluefish bite again. The red drum are still here and biting great. Here’s a picture of Bekah Partin with a nice 33in drum she caught in the sound this afternoon.

Offshore today the fishing continues to be great. Thee wahoo bite was excellent today. There was a good number of gaffer dolphin caught today. Only a few blackfin tuna were brought in.
