the weather today was just right. The temperatures were in the mid 80’s. The skies were cloudy with a scattered rain shower. Wind picked up a little today to 10-15 mph from the North East.
From the beach today the fishing was pretty good. From the pier in Avon there was sea-mullet, spot and bluefish biting. At the point in Buxton today there was spanish mackerel and bluefish biting. Here in Frisco there was puppy drum and sea-mullet caught. In Hatteras there was spanish mackerel, bluefish, flounder and pompano biting.
Inshore today there was a good spanish and bluefish bite again. The red drum are still here and biting great. Here’s a picture of Bekah Partin with a nice 33in drum she caught in the sound this afternoon.
Offshore today the fishing continues to be great. Thee wahoo bite was excellent today. There was a good number of gaffer dolphin caught today. Only a few blackfin tuna were brought in.
