Today was overcast, with some rain this afternoon.  The temperature was 89F.  The winds were east-north-east this morning, switched to the east-south-east this afternoon at 12 mph, winding down to around 5 mph this evening.

Pretty good fishing from the beach again today.  Avon reports from the beach puppy drum and sea mullet.  From Avon Pier there were spot, sea mullet, croaker and bluefish.  Buxton reports spanish mackerel and bluefish.  Frisco reports spanish mackerel, sea mullet and bluefish.  Hatteras reports flounder, spot, pompano, sea mullet, bluefish and puppy drum.

The inshore boats are continuing to have good catches of red drum.  Several over the slot fish and several keepers too.  Along with the drum, the boats continue to catch spanish mackerel and bluefish nearshore.  Pictured below is the Fingeance Sportfishing Charters with one of their red drum releases today.
