Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
It was a windy rainy day here on the island. We had scattered rain showers through out the day with some thunder storms mixed in. The winds were South-West 5-10 in the morning icking up later in the day to 15-20 mph. Temperatures were around 80 today.
From the beach the fishing was great even in the nasty weather. From Avon pier there was black drum , pompano and false albacore caught. In Buxton there was pompano and bluefish caught. There was one citation sized drum released from the point today. Here in Frisco the Bluefish were here in full force. There was some black drum, pompano and flounder caught as well.
Inshore today the red drum continue to bite great. Spanish mackerel and bluefish were biting just outside of the inlet.
Offshore the fishing was good in the morning before the winds picked up. The dolphin bite was great. Wahoo and blackfin tuna were biting but were scattered.
