Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Another rainy day here on the island. This morning we had scattered showers but picked up to steady rain in the afternoon. The winds were East-North-East again today but calmed down to 5-10 mph. Temperatures were in the mid 70’s for most of the day.

From the beach today there was some good fishing even with the bad weather. In Avon there was bluefish and sea-mullet biting. There was some drum caught at the point in Buxton today. Here in Frisco we had pompano biting. Hatteras beach there was sea-mullet, pompano and bluefish biting. There was some speckled trout caught on the soundside in Hatteras today.

Inshore boats continue to catch keeper sized drum and release over slot sized as well.

Offshore boats stayed tied up again today due to bad weather.
