Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Sunny day here again. The winds were North at 5-10 mph. Temperatures were in the upper 60’s.

Fishing from the beach today picked up. The National Park Service had oped a few ramps early today and are working on getting the rest opened through the weekend. From the beach North of Avon there was a few puppy drum caught. The Avon Pier had a good bite of citation sized red drum this morning. Here in Frisco the fishing was slow but there was a few small puppy drum and black drum caught.

Inshore fishing was pretty good again today with a good bite from the puppy drum.

It was a great first day back to the open offshore waters, and the fishing matched. There were limits of dolphin caught. The wahoo and blackfin tuna bite was scattered but there was plenty brought to the docks.
