Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was another beautiful day on the island.  We had a high of 71F.  The winds were light and variable today, but that’s about to change.  The winds should increase quite a bit tomorrow out of the north-north-west.

Avon beach had reports of puppy drum, bluefish and blow toads.  Buxton had reports of sea mullet, bluefish and blow toads.  At Cape Point this morning there was one big drum, some black drum and bluefish.  Frisco beach had puppy drum and bluefish.  Hatteras had sea mullet, blow toads, puppy drum and small flounder.

The inshore boats had good catches of gray and speckled trout, along with some bluefish.  Pictured below is Hatteras Fishing Adventure with their catch.

The offshore boats had a few wahoo and blackfin tuna, with a scattered dolphin and king mackerel bite.  There were three sailfish released today.
