Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

It was a beautiful sunny and warm day today. The temperature was in the upper 70’s. The winds were from the South-west at 5-10 mph.

The Cape Hatteras Anglers Club tournament had another great day for fishing today. From the beach in Avon today there was bluefish, sea-mullet, and blow-toads biting. From the Avon Pier there was sea-mullet, bluefish, blow-toads, and some red drum caught. In Buxton the sea-mullet, black drum, and speckled trout were biting. At the point it was another good day for drum fishing. Here in Frisco the fishing was slower but there was some sea-mullet, and blow-toads caught. Hatteras beach had a good flounder bite with some spot, blow-toads, sea-mullet, and some puppy drum caught as well.

Inshore today there was some good flounder and speckled trout fishing.

Offshore fishing today was great. The king mackerel bite was excellent. The black-fin tuna were biting great today with most being citation sized fish. The dolphin are still here and biting good.
