Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had light winds and sunny skies. The winds were from the west at 5 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 60’s.

Around the Buxton beaches today bluefish, spot, blow toads and croaker were reported.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton bluefish, puppy drum, yearling drum and flounder were caught.  Over on the Frisco beach bluefish and sea mullet were caught.  The picture below is Ian with a nice big red drum caught on the North Beach using his brand new 13′ CTS custom rod built by JT at Frisco Rod and Gun.  We have just a few CTS blanks instock and can order more soon if anyone is interested.

No boats fished inshore.

The few boats that went offshore today had good catches of blackfin tuna and king mackerel with a few dolphin too.
