Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was a beautiful day.  We had a high of 81F.  The winds were out of the west, then the slouthwest.  It will be out of the northeast tonight, blowing around 13-4 mph.

It was a beautiful day on the beach.  There were sea mullet up and down the beach, in Avon, Buxton, Frisco and Hatteras.  Buxton also had small bluefish and big drum to go with the sea mullet.  All Frisco had were the sea mullet and a nice day.  Hatteras had small bluefish and flounder to go with the sea mullet.  The picture below is Susan McClanahan with her nice sea mullet caught on the famous “River Rig”.

The inshore boats had catches of bluefish today.

It was a little bumpy for the offshore fleet this morning.  The seas smoothed over once further out and fish were caught.  There were good catches of gaffer size dolphin, some nice size blackfin tuna, a few wahoo and scattered yellowfin tuna.
