Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Perfect weather again today. Blue skies and warm temperatures in the lower 80’s. The winds were from the South-East at 5-10mph.

From the beach today the fishing slowed down. In Avon there was sea-mullet from the beach and blues mixed in on the pier. Not much in Buxton or here in Frisco besides a few sea-mullet. Hatteras beach had sea-mullet and pompano with some flounder and bluefish biting as well.

Inshore fishing was great today. The cobia bite was great. There was some larger sized bluefish biting along with spanish mackerel. In the sound there was a good puppy drum bite. The clamming is getting good.

Offshore the billfish bite slowed down a little bite but there was some sailfish and white marlins released. Gaffer dolphin fishing was slower today but some wahoo made up for it. Bottom fishing was good there was triggerfish, vermillion snapper, grouper, and amberjack.
