Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today was a little overcast, with winds out of the northeast blowing about 10 mph. We reached a high of 81F today. Tomorrow should be about the same.
The report coming from Avon today is bluefish and sea mullet. Buxton has some pompano and sea mullet. Here in Frisco, some sea mullet and bluefish were caught. Down in Hatteras sea mullet, bluefish and puppy drum were caught.
A few inshore boats went out today. They caught cobia and raked some clams. Pictured below is Mitch Prentice and Brandon Moncrief with a couple of cobia caught while fishing with Brown’s Backcountry Charter’s.
The offshore boats had good catches of dolphin and blackfin tuna. The albacore bite was scattered. There was one sailfish release. The boats that bottomfished caught amberjack and grouper.
Good Luck to those fishing the 57th Annual Hatteras Marlin Club Blue Marlin Release Tournament, starting tomorrow!
