Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

It was a pretty day here on Hatteras Island, we reached a nice warm temperature of 85F today.  We had light warm breezes today that were from the northeast this morning and will end in the south tonight.

It was a beautiful day on the beach, the water is getting cleaner.  Avon beach had some small bluefish and sea mullet.  The pier had spanish mackerel, small bluefish and sea mullet.  Buxton reports spanish mackerel and sea mullet.  Frisco had bluefish and pompano.  Hatteras had small bluefish, spanish mackerel, flounder and  sea mullet.

The inshore boats had catches of cobia, red drum, spanish mackerel and bluefish.  Pictured below is Tightline Charter with a nice red drum caught today.

The offshore boats had some dolphin and blackfin come back to the docks.  The boats that bottomfished today had catches of triggerfish, vermillion snapper and jacks.

Good Luck to those fishing the 57th Annual Hatteras Marlin Club Blue Marlin Release Tournament.
