Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Another hot day on the island. Temperatures win the upper 80’s again. We had some scattered showers in the afternoon but cleared up later in the day. Winds were fro the South-West at 5-10 mph.
From the beach today the fishing was good. In Avon there was spot, sea-mullet, and puppy drum biting. Off the Pier there was spot, sea-mullet, and bluefish. In Buxton there was spot and sea-mullet biting. Here in Frisco there was sea-mullet biting with citaton sized fish being caught. Hatteras beach had sea-mullet, pompano, spot and puppy drum biting today.
Not much for inshore today with scattered thunder storms cutting trips short.
Offshore the sailfish bite continues to be good. The bailer and gaffer dolphin were biting again today. Wahoo and black-fin tuna made it in the boxes today as well. From the bottom there was tilefish, and grouper caught.
