Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today was a nice change. We had sunny skies, but the winds coming out of the north-north-east made it not so hot out. The winds blew 11-5 mph and temperatures were in the mid 80’s.
Avon had bluefish, croaker, sea mullet, spot and spanish mackerel biting today. There were some bluefish and a few spanish at Cape Point. Pictured below is Bodey, Kyle’s oldest. They were out at Cape Point this afternoon and he caught 2 bluefish all by himself. The one in the picture is weighing in at 12oz. Frisco had a few croaker. There were a few sheepshead seen around the old pier. Hatteras had bluefish, sea mullet and croaker.
The inshore fishing was good today. There were lots of nice size bluefish and red drum releases.
It was a little choppy for the offshore boats. They did manage a few catches of wahoo, dolphin and blackfin tuna. There was one sailfish release.
