Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Well the tropical depression just barley missed us with only giving us one solid rain band.  The rest of the day was nice and partly sunny with calm winds.  We do expect to rain from TS Hermine over the weekend.

Today we had south-east winds at 10 mph  and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s.

Up on the Buxton beaches around Cape Point there were bluefish, spanish mackerel, croaker, a few pompano and sea mullet caught.

Down on the Hatteras beach spanish mackerel and bluefish were reported.

The inshore boats caught bluefsh and nice citation red drum in the Pamlico Sound.

Pictured is Robert Willis and Terry Thomas with citation drum caught in the Pamlico Sound.

The offshore boats had decent catches of wahoo, dolphin and a few blackfin tuna.  The tilefish and grouper fishing was good from the bottom.
