Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had another nice day.  The winds were from the south-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 70’s.

Out and around the Buxton beaches blow toads, sea mullet and bluefish were caught.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton a good red drum bite was reported this afternoon.  Some nice puppy drum and bluefish were reported on the Frisco beach.

The inshore boats had lots of red drum releases, big bluefish catches, black drum and sheephead.

The offshore boats had good catches of blackfin tuna and a few dolphin. .  The bottom fishing was good with grouper, trigger fish and sea bass caught.

Pictured below is from the charter boat “Tradition Fishing” with a pair of nice red drum around Hatteras Inlet.
