Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was sunny and hot.   We had south-west winds 15-20 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s.

The ocean had more wave action today with the hard south-west winds.  Up on the Avon beach croakers were reported.  Around the Buxton beaches sea mullet and pompano were caught.  The south beach, Frisco and Hatteras was really choppy and nothing was reported.

The inshore boats had catches of puppy drum in the Pamlico Sound.

The offshore boats stayed at the dock due to the increasing swells.

Today was the 3nd and final day of the 13th Annual Hatteras Grand Slam Billfish Tournament.  No boats fished due to the weather and tomorrow looks even worse.
