Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

The light southerly winds made for a very warm day.  Today’s high was 88F, but the heat index was 99F.

Today in Avon they had catches of bluefish, spanish mackerel,croaker and spot.  In Frisco there were pompano, spot, sea mullet  and small flounder.  Hatteras had spanish mackerel. bluefish, pompano and sea mullet.

The inshore boats had good catches of puppy drum, speckled trout and bluefish.

The offshore boats had decent wahoo catches,  a few dolphin, tuna and grouper.  The nearshore boats had excellent catches of king mackerel and also spanish mackerel.  There were also a couple of sailfish released today.
