Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today was a nice day on Hatteras Island. We had light winds and temperatures in the mid 70’s.
Looks like most fish are being caught on the northern beaches. Avon has had some puppy drum. Avon Pier had some big drum and puppy drum. There have been sea mullet, bluefish and some pompano, even a few speckled trout up and down the beaches, just got to be in the right spot.
The inshore boats are having good luck catching speckled trout and puppy drum.
The offshore boats had fair wahoo catches and scattered dolphin and blackfin tuna, along with some king mackerel and triggerfish and amberjacks. There was a sailfish released today also. The boats have also been doing some commercial king mackerel fishing when they don’t have charters. Pictured below is Tuna Duck Sportfishing with a blackfin tuna that was caught in the mix of all the king mackerel today.
