Today was another nice day on Hatteras Island. The fog moved in and out most of the morning. We had some south-west winds this morning with winds around 5-10 mph. The temperature reached 73F today.
Avon is still reporting puppy drum Buxton had puppy drum as well. There were also some sea mullet caught. In Frisco there were some pompano, sea mullet and blow toads. Hatteras had some sea mullet and blow toads. Scattered up and down the beaches you will find small pompano and bluefish also.
There was a few speckled trout caught on the inshore boats today.
The offshore is on the slow side a few charters and some commercial fishing, the conditions this morning didn’t help. There were a few blackfin tuna, some king mackerel, triggerfish, snapper, porgies and a lion fish.
Boy the Island sure is producing some nice deer this year. Here is one taken this evening in Buxton by a local young man, John Canning.
