Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had a high of 61F.  The winds were out of the north between 5-17 mph.

Avon had sea mullet again today and some big drum.  Buxton had bluefish, puppy drum, sea mullet and black drum.   Pictured below is Jacey Waterfield with a puppy drum caught at Ramp 43 today.  Here in Frisco around the Pier, there were some nice size blow toads, black drum, bluefish and sheepshead.  Hatteras had flounder and puppy drum.

There were no inshore boats out today.

There were a few offshore boats out today.  They had good catches of king mackerel.  One charter came back from an overnighter with king mackerel,blackfin tuna, a wahoo, a dolphin,black sea bass and triggerfish.  The commercial fleet is also catching king mackerel.
