Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today high temperatures were around 81, and the winds northeasterly at 20 gusting to 26. The sky was overcast for most of the day, and around 5pm we had a pretty decent rain shower.

The fishing has been pretty good sense the hurricane. The mullet run is in full swing, along with all the other bait fish.  There are bluefish scattered around all beaches with the highest concentration of them around the point and the inlet. Today at ramp 49 people caught bluefish, sea mullet, and puppy drum.

The inshore boats caught speckled trouts today.

The offshore boats had catches of Wahoo, Blackfin, Yellowfin, a few Mahi, and also one sailfish was released. The wahoo bite was very good with some of them being citation!
