Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
It was a beautiful day across Hatteras Island. We had temperatures in the upper 60’s and winds were light this morning, increasing this evening out of the ESE at 10-16 mph.
The Point had a good bite of big drum last night, 30+ . Today there have been some bluefish and drum caught in Buxton, the jetties had a few speckled trout. Avon had some drum caught up there. Hatteras had puppy drum and flounder. There were a few pompano caught today as well and sea mullet have been caught up and down the beaches. Some folks fished the sound side and caught speckled trout.**Just remember Flounder Season is CLOSED**
The inshore boats caught bluefish, speckled trout, sheepshead and gray trout.
The king mackerel bite was the word for the few boats that went offshore today.
