Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Absolutely gorgeous day to finish out March here in Frisco. We had a high temperature of 72F but a real feel of 80F. Right now we have winds out of the South at 19mph. Rain moving in overnight and the winds are picking up and switching to the North then Northwest by mid day. Temps are not going to make it out of the 50’s tomorrow.

Blowtoads and Sea Mullet on the Avon beaches today.

Puppy Drum and Sea Mullet in Buxton. Saw some larger sharks caught at the point.

Small Spot, Sea Mullet, Blowtoads and sharks caught off of ramp 48 and 49 earlier today.

One boat went offshore out of Hatteras today. The Release did very well with Yellowfin Tuna and pulled in one Wahoo as well.

Inshore boats were catching large Red Drum also.

One boat out of Teach’s Lair today brought in a 13.25 pound Sheepshead…!
