Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Despite the rain we had this morning, it turned out to be a nice day. The high was 82 and the winds were out of the NE/NNE for most of the day. It currently feels like 76 with 6mph wind out of the ENE.

Report from the surf was Red Drum, Sea Mullet, Bluefish, and Pompano. Drum and Blues were caught around Ramp 38 while the Mullet and Pomps were caught around Ramps 49 and 55. There was also some Spanish Mackerel caught around Ramp 44.

Sound – no report from the sound that we heard of.

Inshore boats brought in Red Drum and Bluefish.

Offshore – due to the weather this morning, the big boats stayed at the docks.
