Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Today’s high was 84. Winds have been light to gentle and switching directions. Currently it’s 81, feels like 87, with SW winds at 8mph. Tomorrow’s high is predicted to be 85 and winds are predicted to be light.

Bait – On the porch we are full on shrimp and medium to large mullet. Still have a few night crawlers and lugworms as well.

Water temp was between 82.2 and 84 today.

Surf report includes Black Tips, Bluefish, Croaker, Pompanos, Rays, and Spanish Mackerel.

Sound report includes Gray Trout, Rays, Red Drum, and Speckled Trout.

Inshore boats loaded their coolers with Bluefish, Red Drum, and Speckled Trout.

Offshore boats hauled in Blackfin Tuna, Dolphin, Wahoo, and some bottomfish.
