Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Another day with a high of 84. Winds have been light and changing directions. Currently it’s 73, feels like 79, with ENE winds around 3mph. Tomorrow’s high is predicted to be 85 but temps will likely be similar to today. Winds are predicted to be moderate and out of the E/NE.

Bait – On the porch we are full on shrimp and medium to large mullet. Still have a few night crawlers and lugworms as well.

Water temp was between 83.1 and 84 today.

Surf report includes Spanish Mackerel and Sharks.

No report from the sound but we’ve sold plenty of flounder gigs tonight.

Inshore boats brought back Red Drum, Speckled Trout, and Spanish Mackerel.

Offshore boats brought in Wahoo, Dolphin, Triggerfish, Snapper, and Blackfin Tuna. There were 12 Sailfish released down in Hatteras today.
