Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Today’s high was 85. Winds have been light to moderate and fairly E. Currently it’s blowing ESE at 15mph and feels like 80. Next few days look similar in both winds and temps. Swell and rip currents are still bad. Next high tide is 8:34am which will likely bring more overwash at the S-curves but won’t impact traffic on NC12 thanks to the new bridge. It’s best to avoid driving through flood waters if you come upon them.

Water temp was between 78.4 and 79.3 today.
