Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Today was hot with little wind. The high was 84 while the low was 70 with light to gentle winds. Gusts up to 10mph. Currently it’s 81, feels like 84, with S winds at 8mph. Tomorrow kicks off the holiday weekend. Good luck to everyone participating in the 4 for the 4th walk/run in the morning. Hopefully the early morning start will help beat the heat. Remember to stay extra hydrated when out in this heat! Peak heat and UV falls between 11 and 3 so be sure to stay protected from the sun during these hours because no one wants to get a nasty sunburn.
