Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Breezy and warm today with a high temperature of 82F. Looks like a nice weekend ahead for weather. Winds are out of the North this evening at 20mph. Dangerous rip currents through this evening.

Few big Red Drum, puppy drum and plenty of Bluefish caught at the point throughout the day. Surf was rough and cloudy here in Frisco, no reports.

Offshore boats stayed tied to the docks.

Inshore boats had a fun day catching and releasing big Red Drum, keeper Drum and Bluefish.

Sea Striker SSDMR Deluxe Finger Mullet Rig, Removable 2/0 Double Hook, 1 1/4″ Red/White Pear Float

The split, two-hook treble can be removed allowing you to push the rig through the mouth of a finger mullet and out the anus. An excellent lure for bluefish and drum. Rig has a black 1/0 3-way swivel and a large Duo-lock snap for simple attachment. The 80 lb. monofilament, #15 wire and 1 1/4″ pear float complete the rig.
