Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

The ether today was great for fishing. The temperatures was in the lower 70’s. Winds were west at 5-10 mph.

The Cape Hatteras Anglers Club tournament had great fishing today, one team released 7 larger sized drum today in there first session.  In Avon today there was some great black drum, puppy drum, and sea-mullet fishing. From the pier there was a good red drum bite and some bluefish, sea-mullet, and spot caught. From the beach in Buxton there was sea-mullet black drum and bluefish. At the point there was a good red drum bite. Here in Frisco the bluefish, sea-mullet, and puppy drum biting. Hatteras beach had flounder, spot, sea-mullet, and puppy drum

 

Inshore today there was some good puppy drum fishing along with some nice speckled trout.

Offshore today the dolphin and wahoo fishing was good. The black-fin tuna bite was scattered. A few boas stayed nearshore and fished for king mackerel and had a great catch.
