    Today was warmer. The high was 73 while the low was 66 with light to moderate winds. Gusts up to 32mph. Currently it’s 70 with SW winds around 10mph. Gusts around 20mph. Tomorrow should be a little cooler with a predicted high of 59 and a low of 51. Winds are going to pick up to strong speeds with gusts up to 40mph. Chance of rain in the morning.

    Surf: Today we’ve heard of Bluefish scattered up and down the beaches. We’ve also heard of some Red Drum, Sea Mullet, and small Sharks being caught. Yesterday catches included Black Drum, Bluefish, Croaker, Red Drum, and Sea Mullet.

    Sound: No report.

    Inshore: Yesterday inshore boats had catches of Sheepshead and Red Drum.

    Offshore: Today we have no report from the big boats. Yesterday they had some King Mackerel.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Today started off chilly but turned out comfortable. The high was 72 while the low was 50 with light to strong winds. Gusts up to 28mph. Currently it’s 70, feels like 71, with SSW winds around 8mph. Tomorrow will be pretty similar to today in both temps and winds.

    Sound water temp: 60-63

    Ocean water temp: ~66


    Surf: On Wednesday there were reports of Sea Mullet alongside Sharks and Skates. Thursday held catches of Bluefish, Red Drum, and Sea Mullet. Today we heard reports of Blowtoads, Bluefish, Red Drum, and Sea Mullet.

    Sound: No report.

    Inshore: On Wednesday the inshore boats caught Red Drum and Sheepshead. Then more Red Drum on Thursday. Today they came back to the docks with catches of Blackfin Tuna, Bluefish, King Mackerel, Sharks, and Sheepshead.

    Offshore: On Wednesday and Thursday the offshore fleet stayed tied to the docks. Today they headed out and came back with Albacore, Barracuda, Blackfin Tuna, Dolphin, and some bottom fish.
