We hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving! Today’s high was 57 while the low was 50 with light to gentle winds. Gusts up to 30mph. Currently it’s 48, feels like 40, with NNW winds around 8mph. Gusts around 22mph. Tomorrow winds should be about the same with decreased temps. Temps should get up to 50, so a little cooler than today.

Sound water temp: 56-62

Ocean water temp: 62

11/28 – 11/29

Surf: Red Drum, Sea Mullet, Sharks

Sound: Speckled Trout

Inshore: No report.

Offshore: King Mackerel, Red Drum

Releases: No report.

Hatteras Island Fishing Report
November 27, 2024
Today’s high was 66 while the low was 55 with light to gentle winds. Gusts up to 22mph. Currently it’s 61, feels like 59, with NE winds around 6mph. Tomorrow should be a bit warmer with temps getting into the 70s. Winds will show an increase up to strong speeds. There’s been scattered reports of trout in the sound. A couple boats went out today and had some luck. The surf continues to be the main source of the fishing report.

Surf: Black Drum, Bluefish, Blowtoads, Flounder, Red Drum, Sea Mullet, Sharks, Speckled Trout

Today’s high was 61 while the low was 50 with light to gentle winds. Gusts up to 20mph. Currently it’s 57, feels like 55, with W winds around 5mph. Tomorrow should be similar in temps, maybe a little warmer. Temps will be about the same as well. Most of the fishing report we’ve heard has been from the point and ramps 48 and 49. We also heard the Sea Mullet were very popular at the Avon pier.

Today’s high was 70 while the low was 64 with light to gentle winds. Gusts up to 15mph. Currently it’s 66, feels like 69 with SSW winds around 6mph. Tomorrow winds are going to increase to strong speeds and even stronger gusts. Temps will be a little cooler because of that. We may see some sound tide on the road from all the wind.
