Crazy Hatteras weather the past 2 days. Warm, extremely windy and rainy one day, the next 30 degrees cooler and sunny. Today’s high only made it to 46F. Right now we have winds out of the SW at 19mph. Steadily warming up for the rest of the week.

Some Sea Mullet reported in Avon today.

Bunch of puppy Drum and a couple of Black Drum caught off the beaches from the end of Frisco through Hatteras. Most caught on shrimp.

Ugly weather day here on the island. Cloudy skies early gave way to high winds and rain. Our high temperature was 75F. We still have a GALE WARNING until 5am Sunday. Travel from Avon up was tricky today with water on the roads. Temps are dropping drastically overnight with a high tomorrow of only 43F.

There were reports of some Drum caught at the point early this morning before the front rolled through.

Rounding out the week we have rain showers this evening with increasing winds and thunderstorms developing. Our high temperature for today was 64F. Batten down the hatches for tomorrow with high winds and the potential for severe thunderstorms. High wind and storm warnings from 9am until 4pm. Right now we have winds out of the South at 25mph.

Puppy Drum were caught from Avon to Hatteras today. Some Sea Mullet were mixed in as well.

Well, we had a all around ugly day today with no sun in sight and showers throughout most of the day. Looks like we have a quick break in the rain Friday am then more rain moving in for the afternoon and evening. Winds are out of the North tonight around 19mph.

Some sharks were caught at the point earlier today.

Puppy Drum were reportedly caught off of ramp 55 as well.
