• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Going to be windy for a few days here on the island. Ugly Nor’easter hanging around. Today’s high temperature was 55F. Rain moving in late tonight and will be on and off tomorrow as well. Currently we have winds out of the North around 40mph.

    Stay dry, stay warm and explore the many shops and historical sites on the island while we wait out this storm.

    Happy Mother’s Day! Hope everyone out there got to celebrate your mother today. Not much to say about the weather here on the island but that it’s windy, rainy and ugly. The next couple of days will be much of the same. Please drive safely if you must go out, over wash has been reported in a couple of areas. Currently winds are out of the North at 35mph.

    Mostly sunny Friday with a high temperature of 79F. Thunderstorms might be rolling through late tonight. SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY until 6am on Saturday. GALE WATCH from Sunday afternoon through Tuesday evening. Currently we have winds out of the SW at 29mph.

    Puppy Drum off of the Avon beaches. Couple more Sheepshead off of 55 in Hatteras.

    Offshore boats out of Hatteras had a good day with Blackfin Tuna, Dolphin, King Mackerel, sharks and Triggerfish

    Inshore boats caught more Red Drum and Sheepshead.

    Warm and sunny for most of the day. Our high temperature ended up at 72F. Winds are out of the North currently at 17mph. Looking like a Hatteras weekend with winds and rain in the forecast.

    Rodanthe Pier- Puppy Drum, Sea Mullet, Sheepshead and Gray Trout

    Quiet day here for surf fishing. Lots of grass

    Some Spanish Mackerel earlier at the point along with big sharks.

    Rough day out offshore but they caught Wahoo, Dolphin and Tuna.

    Inshore boats caught Spanish Mackerel, Sheepshead and Red Drum.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    High temperature for today was 77F here in Frisco! Chance of rain tomorrow, mostly in the evening. We have winds out of the SW tonight at 17mph.

    Rodanthe Pier- Sea Mullet, Spot, Croaker, Speckled Trout, puppy Drum and sharks.

    Avon reported puppy Drum, Sea Mullet and Bluefish. Speckled Trout in the sound as well.

    Windy and choppy here in Frisco. Not much biting except for a few Sea Mullet.

    Most big boats stayed tied up today. Inshore boats are continuing their good luck with Sheepshead, Red Drum and Cobia.
