• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Today was beautiful with a high temperature of 81F. Winds are out of the East this evening at 6mph. Nice lineup of weather for the next few days with no rain forecasted.

    Surf picked up a bit with some puppy Drum being caught in Avon and Hatteras.

    Today was the final day of the Hatteras Village Invitational Surf Fishing Tournament. Congratulations to all the winners!

    The offshore boats made it out today and brought back Dolphin, Wahoo, Blackfin Tuna, Amberjacks and released several Sailfish.

    Inshore boats caught Speckled Trout, Bluefish, Red Drum and Sea Mullet.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Friday brought about some wonderful weather with our high temperature maxing out at 79F. Winds out of the North made for a almost fall like day. Looks like the weekend will be more of the same.

    We still have a High Surf Advisory in effect until 3am Saturday.

    No news in the surf fishing department. Surf was rough and tides were extra high today.

    Offshore boats did not make it out today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Not a bad day for weather, only little bit of rain this evening. High temperature was 82F this afternoon. Winds right now are out of the North at 20mph.

    High Surf Advisory in effect until 3am Saturday. Dangerous rip currents an waves at 5 to 7 feet.

    Really not much going on in the surf.

    Some puppy Drum and Speckled Trout were caught in the sound

    Only couple boats ventured offshore today and they managed to bring back some Dolphin, Wahoo and Blackfin tuna. Three Sailfish were also released.

    Keeper Red Drum, large Red Drum, Speckled Trout and some Flounder were caught by the inshore boats

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Half way through the week and can’t complain about the weather we’ve been having. Another day of warm temps and sunny skies today. Our high temperature topped off at 86F. Looks like storms moving in tonight and throughout the day tomorrow. Winds are currently out of the SW at 15mph.

    High surf advisory through Thursday evening making for dangerous swimming conditions. PLEASE STAY OUT OF THE WATER.

    Rough surf conditions made for a slow day fishing.

    Head on over to the sound where the Red Drum, Speckled Trout and Flounder are biting.

    Offshore boats that went out today brought back Dolphin and Wahoo. A few Sailfish and Blue Marlin were released today.

    Inshore boats are doing well with Red Drum, some Speckled Trout and plenty of Flounder!

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Happy Labor Day to everyone! Hope you got to enjoy your day with friends and family or however you chose to spend the day. We had a wonderful day here with a high temperature of 86F. Currently we have winds out of the West at 5mph. Dangerous rip currents projected for all day tomorrow so please be careful and stay out of the water.

    Avon beaches reported Flounder, Spanish Mackerel and some Bluefish.

    Bluefish and Spanish Mackerel at the point earlier today.

    Small mixed bag off the beaches here in Frisco.

    Puppy Drum and Speckled trout still being caught in the sound from Avon to Hatteras.

    Offshore boats out of Hatteras had a rough day but still managed some fish. Dolphin and Wahoo were brought back to the docks.

    Carolina Girl released a Sailfish.

    The inshore boats had a better day with Red Drum, Speckled Trout, a few Spanish Mackerel and some Flounder.
