Currently it’s 72 with NE winds around 10mph. Gusts around 21mph. Tomorrow winds will continue to be light to moderate speeds with strong gusts. Temps will be about the same. Chance of rain in the afternoon.

    Sound water temp: 73-75

    Ocean water temp: ~79


    Surf: Bluefish, Flounder, Red Drum

    Sound: The sound had catches Bluefish, Red Drum, and Speckled Trout.

    Inshore: Inshore boats caught Bluefish, Flounder, and Red Drum.

    Offshore: Offshore boats stayed at the docks because of the winds.

    Today was overcast and misty. The high was 79 while the low was 73 with light to gentle winds. Gusts up to 29mph. Currently it’s 73 with NNE winds around 9mph. Gusts around 21mph. Tomorrow winds should pick back up to moderate speeds and continue from the same direction. Temps will be similar again.

    Sound water temp: 73-76

    Ocean water temp: ~79


    Surf: Scattered Bluefish and Sea Mullet around the island. Red Drum in Rodanthe and Avon.

    Sound: The sound produced some Bluefish and Speckled Trout today.

    Inshore: Inshore boats had more catches of Bluefish and Red Drum.

    Offshore: Offshore boats made it out today and caught some Wahoo. There was even a Sailfish release.
