• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    It was a beautiful June day here on Hatteras Island.! Hope everyone here had a chance to get out and enjoy the beach or other activities. Our high temperature for the day was 75F here in Frisco. Right now we have winds out of the North at 20mph, making it an enjoyable evening.

    Looks like Croaker and Sea Mullet up in Avon today.

    Spanish Mackerel in Buxton.

    Nothing to report here in Frisco or Hatteras. Surf was a bit rough and grassy.

    Once again the weather had the offshore boats tied to the docks.

    Inshore boats took advantage and got in some nice Drum fishing today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Humid with overcast skies throughout most of the day today giving way to heavy rain this evening. Winds have been around 22 mph most of the day out of the Southwest. So far it looks like a chance of rain tomorrow as well.

    Beach reports were pretty much non-existent today in the shop due to the winds.

    NO boats went offshore today out of Hatteras.

    Inshore boats did make it out today however and found the Drum.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Today started off ugly but turned out to be a decent day. We ended up with a high temperature of 82F. Winds are out of the SW right now at 29mph.

    Been quiet in the shop this evening. We haven’t heard a lot from the surf.

    No reports out of Hatteras offshore or inshore due to the weather.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Sunny and a bit windy today with a high temp of 84F. Tropical Storm watch in effect for the island. Winds and rain through Monday.

    Winds played a big part in the fishing activities for the day.

    Only thing I saw today were some nice Bluefish caught earlier this morning off of ramp 55 in Hatteras.

    No offshore reports today due to the wind.

    Some inshore boats went out and found Red Drum and some Speckled Trout

    Widespread, a boat out of Oregon Inlet won the largest Marlin category in this years Big Rock Tournament. Congratulations!

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Couldn’t have asked for a nicer day today! High temperature neat 84F with a nice breeze. We have some winds moving in tomorrow but will still be around the same temperature. Winds are out of the South right now at 16mph.

    Nice Speckled Trout caught in the sound up in Avon earlier today.

    Pompano were caught off of ramps 43 and 44 again.

    Sea Mullet and Pompano here in Frisco off of ramp 49.

    Offshore boats got into the Dolphin again today along with picking up some bottom fish along the way. A couple of White Marlin and a Blue Marlin were caught and released as well.

    Inshore boats caught Red Drum, Spanish Mackerel and Speckled Trout.

    We have a new leader at the end of day 5 in the tournament. Widespread has taken the lead...!
