    Today had light breezes that did nothing to help combat the heat. The high was 88 while the low was 77 with light to gentle winds. Gusts up to 21mph. Currently it’s 84, feels like 92, with WSW winds around 9mph. Gusts around 21mph. Tomorrow’s temps should be a bit warmer with similar winds.

    Ocean water temp: 83-85


    Surf: Bluefish, Croaker, Pompano, Sea Mullet, Sharks, Spot

    Sound: Bluefish, Red Drum, Speckled Trout

    Inshore: Inshore parties had catches of Bluefish, King Mackerel, Sharks, and Spanish Mackerel.

    Offshore: The big boats had a variety of catches today – Amberjacks, Blackfin Tuna, Dolphin, Wahoo, and some bottom fish. Releases included Blue Marlins and Sailfish.

    Today was another hot one. The high was 88 while the low was 79 with light to gentle winds. Gusts up to 24mph. Currently it’s 82, feels like 87, with SW winds around 11mph. Tomorrow winds show an increase in the afternoon. Temps will be around the same again.

    Inshore: Inshore boats have had luck with Red Drum.

    Today had a little more wind with some nice gusts here and there. The high was 88 while the low was 79 with light to moderate winds. Gusts up to 33mph. Currently it’s 81, feels like 86, with WSW winds around 11mph. Gusts around 21mph. Tomorrow temps look like they’ll be about the same. Winds are expected to get up to moderate speeds again. Chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon.

    Ocean water temp: ~83


    Surf: Croaker, Sea Mullet, Sharks, Spanish Mackerel, Spot

    Sound: Bluefish, Red Drum, Sheepshead, Speckled Trout

    Inshore: Inshore boats have had catches of Bluefish, Red Drum, Sheepshead, and Speckled Trout lately. A few Gray Trout and Spanish Mackerel have been caught too.

    Offshore: The big boats have caught Blackfin Tuna, Dolphin, and Wahoo recently. A couple Sailfish have been released as well.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Today was hot and humid with minimal wind. The high was 90 while the low was 7 with light to gentle winds. Gusts up to 18mph. Currently it’s 82, feels like 89, with S winds around 7mph. Tomorrow the high and low are expected to be about the same. Winds will be light to moderate speeds. There’s chance thunderstorms again but it may skirt around us.

    Sound water temp: 83-87

    Ocean water temp: ~82


    Surf: Croaker, Flounder, Sea Mullet, Sharks, Spanish Mackerel, Spot

    Sound: Bluefish, Sheepshead, Speckled Trout

    Inshore: Inshore boats had catches of Bluefish and Speckled Trout.

    Offshore: The big boats brought Blackfin Tuna, Dolphin, and Wahoo back to the docks with multiple billfish releases. There were three or more Blue Marlin released along with five Sailfish.
