• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    It was a gorgeous day here on the island with a high of 79F.

    There were bluefish and Spanish caught off the point. Here on ramp 48 and 49 we had lots of sea mullet and pompano with a few citations weighed in here at Frisco Rod and Gun.

    Sea trout continue to be caught in the sound with most fishermen limiting out.

    Nearshore fishing in the Atlantic has produced big Reds in the Hook as well as Blues and Spanish Mackerel.

    Offshore there have been catches of Tuna, Mahi, Triggerfish, Grouper, Sea Bass, and  Wahoo. We also have had reports of 3 or 4 cobia being caught today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had a high of 79F. Winds picked up throughout the day to 17mph SSW. It was overcast with the sun coming out occasionally.

    Up and down the South beaches there have been multiple fish caught from citation Reds, citation Sea Mullet, and Sharks at Cape Point. Black Drum, citation Sea Mullet, and citation Pompano on Frisco’s ramp 48 & 49. Down in Hatteras Village they have been catching citation pompano & Sea Mullet, and Blues including citation Reds at the inlet.

    Inshore in the Pamlico Sound the Speckled Trout are starting to show up citation size as well as Bluefish and Spanish Mackerel closer to the inlet. There was also a surprising 4lb citation Pompano caught near Brigand’s Bay.

    Nearshore fishing in the Atlantic has produced big Reds in the Hook as well as Blues and Spanish Mackerel.

    Offshore there have been catches of Tuna, Mahi, Triggerfish, Grouper, Sea Bass, and  Wahoo.

    Today’s high temp was 70F. The winds were laied out around 8mph South.

    Frisco beach had a citation Pompano.

    Inshore has had catches of Speckled Trout.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today’s high temp was 63F. The morning started off a little windy on the beaches but it turned out to be a beautiful afternoon.

    Drum bite was on last night at the point. Pompano, sea mullet and sheepshead off of ramp 49 here in Frisco.

    Offshore we had reports of plenty of triggerfish.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today’s high temp was 66F.

    Blues were caught at the point today. Here in Frisco off of ramp 49 we had sea mullet and pompano. We weighed in a close to state record for mullet at 3 lbs, 3 oz.

    INSHORE: There were Spanish mackerel and blues caught.
