• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had temperatures in the upper 80’s.  The winds were coming from the southwest at 10-16 mph.

    There were some spanish mackerel caught in Avon today.  Buxton and Frisco had sea mullet.  Hatteras had some spanish mackerel, bluefish and pompano.  Pictured below is Justin Rowels with a nice sea mullet, just shy of a citation, caught at Ramp 49 today.

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    The inshore boats caught some trout today.

    The offshore boats had catches of gaffer and bailer size dolphin.  There was also a blue marlin released.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had temperatures bouncing around in the 80s with a relatively low humidity. The winds stayed a warm SSW around 12mph, gusting around 20mph.

    Anglers have been catching the usual fish for this time of year including: Spot, Sea Mullet, Bluefish, Croaker, Trout, and puppy Drum.

    The inshore fleet stayed at the dock due to weather

    The offshore boats fished a 1/2 -3/4 day due to weather but still had good catches of Mahi.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today temperatures were in the mid to upper 80s which feels like 95F with the humidity. Winds were 8-13mph from the SSW gusting to 18mph. Sea surface temperature off Cape Point is in the high 70s, between 77-79F.

    On the beach there has been good Spanish Mackerel bites on North beach and at the inlet around sunset. Anglers have also been catching the usual fish for this time of year including: Spot, Sea Mullet, Bluefish, Croaker, Trout, and puppy Drum.

    The inshore boats caught Spanish mackerel and Bluefish.

    The offshore boats had Mahi, Wahoo, and Blackfin Tuna.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today temperatures rose into the 90s with a high humidity. Winds stayed down around 10mph from the SSW.

    Spot, Sea Mullet, Pompano, Croaker, and Spanish were reported being caught.

    Citation Pompano
    Henry Vanwagner III caught this nice Citation Pompano on Independence Day down off of Ramp 55 in Hatteras Village using Sand Fleas.

    The inshore boats caught Spanish mackerel, Blues. There were a few citation Drum and Cobia caught as well.

    The offshore boats had Mahi, King Mackerel, and a Sailfish release.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    We had temperatures in the mid 80’s and winds were out of the northeast between 5-13 mph.

    There were spanish mackerel caught from the north side of the Point to the jetties.  We had gray trout here in Frisco.  Speckled trout and puppy drum in Avon this evening on the sound side.

    The inshore boats caught spanish mackerel and trout.

    The offshore boats had gaffer dolphin and a few wahoo, along with some triggerfish and a cobia
