• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
    Today had sunny skies with temperatures in the high 60’s. The winds were from the north northeast at 3 to 5 mph.
    In Avon they are catching Red Drum off the pier.  Cape Point Red Drum were reported. In Frisco beach Pompano and Sea Mullet were reported.  In Hatteras we have had reports of Flounder being caught.
    The inshore boats caught Puppy Drum and big Drum.
    Offshore boats caught Wahoo, Dolphin, Blackfin Tuna, and King Mackerel. Two Sailfish were released.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
    Today had sunny skies with temperatures in the mid 60’s. The winds were from the north northeast at 6 to 13 mph with gusts up to 26 mph.
    There have been reports of Red Drum and Pompano in Avon.  At Cape Point citation Red Drum.  In Frisco beach Bluefish were reported.

    No offshore boats went out today.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island. 10/17/18
    Today we started out with a few thunderstorms in the early morning from a cold front pushing through then turning into partly cloudy skies. Temperatures were in the low 70s with winds WNW around 10mph.
    Beach reports were bluefish in the early morning
    The inshore boats caught Drum, Spanish, and Blues
    The offshore boats caught Blackfin Tuna with scattered Dolphin and Wahoo

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
    Today was calm and sunny.  The winds were from the east -5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.
    Fishing in the northern villages of the tri villages and Avon have had good bluefish and spanish mackerel action.  The Buxton beaches have had good bluefish, a few spanish mackerel and scattered puppy drum reported.  Over on the Frisco and Hatteras beaches some good bluefish and a few sea mullet and flounder were reported.
    The inshore boats caught speckled trout, puppy drum and bluefish in the Pamlico Sound today.  Near shore they had excellent spanish mackerel action.
    The offshore boats caught wahoo, dolphin, some blackfin tuna and there was a sailfish released.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
    Today we had a warm up on the Island.  The temperatures were in the low 80’s with winds coming from the south-south-west this afternoon at 10-15 mph.
    If you are up in the  Tri Village area, they caught spanish mackerel, bluefish, pompano, sea mullet and some puppy drum.  All reported near the Pier.  Avon had reports of bluefish, spanish mackerel and sea mullet.  Spanish mackerel and bluefish are being caught in Buxton on metal and bait. Here at Ramp 49 and 55 we had reports of bluefish, pompano, sheepshead and a few speckled trout.
    The inshore boats had catches of gray trout and red drum.
    The offshore boats had catches of dolphin,  wahoo and blackfin tuna.  There was a sailfish release also today.
