• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island
    It turned out to be a beautiful day on Hatteras Island.  We had temperatures in the low 60’s and the winds were light and variable.
    Here in Frisco we had bluefish again today.  Down in Hatteras there were pompano and some drum.  On the sound side in Hatteras there were some keeper drum, short flounder and a few speckled trout.  The sea mullet, pompano, graytrout and spot were caught on the northern beaches.  The Point had some bluefish, seamullet and black drum and drum.
    The inshore boats had catches of red drum, speckled trout and nice size bluefish.
    The offshore boats had catches of dolphin, wahoo and blackfin tuna.  There was a sailfish released today as well.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
    The weather is finally starting to feel like it’s season.  The north-north-westwinds started blowing in the early morning hours and the temperatures by daylight was 56F.  The winds were between 10-20 mph and gusts as high as 32 mph.  Our high ended up being 64F.
    The report off the Frisco beach today is bluefish and spot.  There was some yearling size drum caught at the Point along with some sea mullet.  Sea mullet, bluefish black drum and pompano , even a few speckled trout have been scattered about today.
    Congratulations to everyone who fished the Capital City Tournament!  See you next year…
    The winds kept the inshore and offshore boats to the docks today.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
    Today had cloudy skies with a few periods of rain. Temperatures in the mid 70s dropping around 1 pm. The winds were WSW at 10- 20 mph, the winds are supposed to blow even harder tomorrow out of the Northwest.
    Frisco Beach had bluefish and Red Drum. The Avon Pier has continually had good Drum being caught off the pier the last couple nights. There have also been Drum caught on the beaches in Hatteras.
    The inshore boats caught good Drum
    No offshore boats went out today.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
    Today had sunny skies with temperatures in the high 60’s. The winds were from the north northeast at 3 to 5 mph.
    In Avon they are catching Red Drum off the pier.  Cape Point Red Drum were reported. In Frisco beach Pompano and Sea Mullet were reported.  In Hatteras we have had reports of Flounder being caught.
    The inshore boats caught Puppy Drum and big Drum.
    Offshore boats caught Wahoo, Dolphin, Blackfin Tuna, and King Mackerel. Two Sailfish were released.

    Today had sunny skies with temperatures in the mid 60’s. The winds were from the north northeast at 6 to 13 mph with gusts up to 26 mph.
    There have been reports of Red Drum and Pompano in Avon.  At Cape Point citation Red Drum.  In Frisco beach Bluefish were reported.
