• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
    Today we had a warm up on the Island.  The temperatures were in the low 80’s with winds coming from the south-south-west this afternoon at 10-15 mph.
    If you are up in the  Tri Village area, they caught spanish mackerel, bluefish, pompano, sea mullet and some puppy drum.  All reported near the Pier.  Avon had reports of bluefish, spanish mackerel and sea mullet.  Spanish mackerel and bluefish are being caught in Buxton on metal and bait. Here at Ramp 49 and 55 we had reports of bluefish, pompano, sheepshead and a few speckled trout.
    The inshore boats had catches of gray trout and red drum.
    The offshore boats had catches of dolphin,  wahoo and blackfin tuna.  There was a sailfish release also today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
    We are finally starting to feel the fall like temperatures, especially at night.  Today we had highs in the low 70’s.  The winds were out of the east-north-east, 5-9 mph.
    This morning  there were some bluefish at Ramp 49, by this afternoon there was grass.  There were a few puppy drum and larger drum caught at the Point this evening.  The pompano, a few blow toads, sea mullet, black drum and spot are scattered about the beaches.
    The inshore boats had excellent catches of red drum.
    The offshore boats had catches of triggerfish, dolphin, wahoo, and blackfin tuna.

    Today we had sunny skies. The winds were North-West at 10 mph. Temperatures were in the low to mid 70s with a high of 76
    Reports of Spot and Speckled trout over 49
    The offshore fleet caught Dolphin, Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, Blackfin Tuna and had 3 sailfish releases.
    The inshore fleet had reports of Red Drum

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
    Today we had cloudy skies with periods of rain.  The winds were from the  south-west no less than 20 mph gusting into the 30s and the temperatures were in the high 80’s.
    No beach report from today
    The inshore boats caught Red Drum.
    The offshore boats did not go out today.
