    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    HAPPY EASTER!!

    Today was a beautiful day on Hatteras Island.  We finally had some spring like weather.  We reached a temperature of 70F.  The winds were out of the southwest at 5-10 mph.

    The puppy drum bite has been scattered from Avon to Hatteras and sharks are plentiful.

    The boats finally made it offshore today.  They came back with catches of yellowfin and blackfin tuna, good catches of king mackerel, also some triggerfish, wahoo and snapper.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had partly cloudy skies.  The winds were from the north-east at 10-15 mph with gusts to 25 mph and temperatures were in the mid 50’s.

    The ocean was still rough but some black tip sharks, dog sharks and skates were caught out a Cape Point in Buxton.  On the Frisco beach a black drum was reported.

    There is no inshore or offshore report for today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had sunny skies with some wind.  The winds were from the south-west at 15-20 mph with gust to 25 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 60’s.

    With all the rough ocean conditions i have no report of any fish being caught.  There is a chance of the red drum making a showing at Cape Point in Buxton if you can hold bottom or at least keep up with the drift .

    There is no inshore or offshore report for today.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had sunny skies and warmer temperatures.  The winds were from the south-west at 10 mph with some gusts to 20 mph and the temperatures were in the low 60’s.

    Out at Cape Point in Buxton some nice keeper red drum and some 30 in plus drum were caught.

    There is no inshore or offshore report for today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had mostly mild winds out of the south-west, but we had some gusts in the mid 20s around noon. The temps reached into the low 60s making it a most pleasant day.

    Reports of some very rough waters and a few fisherman almost washing away at the point. Please be careful out there! With that in mind, we heard of large drum being caught at the point, and some blow toads on the south beaches. Always a chance for dogfish and skates on most beaches.

    There is no inshore or offshore report for today.
