    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had mostly sunny with calm winds.  The winds were from the south-west at 5-12 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

    Up on the Avon beaches puppy drum, sea mullet and spot were caught.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton puppy drum and bluefish were reported.  There were sea mullet caught on the Frisco beach.

    A few inshore boats caught plenty of puppy drum and big red drum today.

    The offshore boats caught dolphin and a few black fin and yellow fin tuna today.  2 sailfish were released.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    It was a beautiful day to be on Hatteras Island.  The winds were south-south-west around 10 mph.  The temperature is still warm for October, right at 80F today.

    From the beaches of Avon to Hatteras small bluefish, sea mullet, spot and croaker have been scattered about.  Avon Pier had a big drum this evening.  Buxton also had black drum and puppy drum.  Frisco and Hatteras also had some puppy drum.

    A few inshore boats went out today and had catches of red drum and also got their limit of clams.

    There were no offshore boats out today.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was a beautiful day. We had winds out of the south at 5-10 mph.  The temperatures were in the low 80’s.

    Avon is reporting pompano, sea mullet and croaker.  Buxton had puppy drum, bluefish and pompano.  Frisco had puppy drum, pompano, spot, croaker and sea mullet.  There were some pompano caught north beach of Hatteras.

    The inshore charters caught speckled trout and red drum.

    The offshore boats had catches of wahoo, dolphin, yellow and blackfin tuna and some triggerfish.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had sunny skies and light winds.  The winds were from the south-east at 5-15 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s.

    Up on the Avon beach puppy drum, spanish mackerel and bluefish were reported.  Around the Buxton beaches puppy drum and bluefish were reported.  Over on the Frisco beach bluefish were reported.  The Hatteras beaches had a few puppy drum reported.

    The inshore boats had catches speckled trout in Pamlico Sound today..

    The offshore boats had excellent wahoo fishing.  A few dolphin, black fin tuna and a few yellowfin tuna were caught.  Trigger fish were caught from the bottom.  A sailfish and a blue marlin were released.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had sunny skies.  The winds were from the north-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

    Up on the Avon and Buxton beaches puppy drum and bluefish were reported.  Over on the Frisco and down on the Hatteras beach puppy drum and a few small stripers were caught.

    The inshore boats had catches of puppy drum, big red drum, speckled trout, gray trout, bluefish and flounder in the  Pamlico Sound today..

    The offshore boats had scattered wahoo, dolphin, black fin tuna and a few king mackerel are starting to show.  The bottom fishing continues to be good with vermilion snapper and trigger fish being caught.
