• Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    It was a cool day across Hatteras Island with north winds.  The winds were steady around 13 mph with higher gusts until noon time, then they started to decrease.

    Believe it or not there have been some fish caught today.  Rodanthe area reports flounder, trout and puppy drum this morning.  In Frisco there were puppy drum, pompano, bluefish and gray trout.

    The red drum fishing was excellent today for the inshore boats in the Pamlico Sound.

    The offshore fleet stayed to the docks today.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today started off nice, but went downhill after lunch.  The winds went from southwest, to north what seemed like fairly quick.  Those north winds started out at light, but quickly increased 15-20 with higher gusts.

    Buxton and Frisco had some puppy drum.  Hatteras had some pompano and a couple of croaker.

    The inshore boats had catches of red drum and speckled trout.

    The offshore boats had catches of wahoo, triggerfish, amberjack, snapper, grouper and sea bass.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was a beautiful day!  We had very little wind today and we reached 80F.  This evening the southwest winds have started blowing a little, 5-10 mph.

    Avon is reporting puppy drum, sea mullet and bluefish.  Buxton is reporting bluefish, puppy drum and black drum.  Frisco reports puppy drum and bluefish,.  There were also sheepshead and pompano on the north side of the Pier.  Down in Hatteras, they are reporting bluefish and black drum.

    The inshore boats continue to catch puppy drum and speckled trout.

    The offshore bite was a little bit slower today.  They had fair wahoo fishing with some citations and some dolphins.  There were also plenty of triggerfish and some amberjacks.  There was a blue marlin release also.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had mostly cloudy skies with some light rain.  The winds were from the north-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 70’s.

    Out at Cape Point in Buxton big red drum made a showing.  On the Avon, Buxton, Frisco and Hatteras beaches bluefish, puppy drum and yearling drum were being caught.

    The inshore boats had excellent catches puppy drum in Pamlico Sound today..

    The offshore boats caught a few dolphin, black fin tuna, king mackerel and wahoo today.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Cloudy skies today with some light rain off and on.  The winds were from the north-east at 10 mph with gust from 25-30 mph.  Temperatures were in the mid 70’s.

    In Avon they are catching spot and sea mullet .  Out at Cape Point in Buxton slot limit drum.  Hatteras saw a few Pompano and scattered blue fish.

    Inshore boats caught Red Drum today.

    Offshore boats stayed at the dock today due to the wind.
