• Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was another beautiful day.  We had northeast winds again.  It blew around 10 mph, then lessened this afternoon to 5 mph or less.  The temperature was in the mid 70’s today.

    Avon is reporting puppy and yearling size drum, sea mullet, small bluefish, pompano and spot.  Buxton had puppy and yearling size drum.  Frisco had puppy and yearling size drum, also some bluefish.  Hatteras had puppy and yearling size drum also.  They also had bluefish, sea mullet and pompano.

    The inshore boats had catches of puppy drum and releasing larger ones.

    The offshore boats had catches of wahoo, triggerfish, sea bass and scattered dolphin.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today has been beautiful and breezy.  We had northeast winds between 10-15 mph with higher gusts and temperatures in the 70’s.

    From the Avon beaches there were puppy drum, sea mullet and black drum caught.  In Buxton there were bluefish and puppy drum.  Pictured below is a couple of pictures of some guys and Bodey with their puppy drum catch.  They were at Cape Point this evening.  Frisco had small bluefish.  Hatteras had puppy drum, small bluefish and just undersize flounder.

    The inshore boats had a great day of puppy drum fishing.

    The offshore boats did not make it out today.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    We had sunny skies, nice cool temperatures and a little more breeze today.  The winds were from the north-east at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 70’s.

    From the Avon beaches bluefish, puppy drum and spot were caught.  Around the Buxton beaches puppy drum were caught.  Over on the Frisco beach puppy drum and bluefish were reported.  Down on the Hatteras beach bluefish were caught.

    The inshore boats had some puppy drum action today in the Pamlico Sound.

    The offshore boats had decent dolphin, wahoo and black fin tuna.   Several sailfish were reported.

    We had sunny skies and cooler temperatures today.  The winds were from the north-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 70’s.

    From the Avon beaches to the Hatteras beaches some good puppy drum catches have been reported.

    The inshore boats had good puppy drum action today in the Pamlico Sound.

    The offshore boats had decent catches of dolphin, wahoo, blackfin tuna and a sailfish was released.  The bottom action was pretty good with vermilion snapper and triggerfish.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Well Hurricane Maria gave us some soundside flooding and ocean over wash but overall we made out fine.  The island opened back up today at 1pm for all visitors.

    The sun was shining and temperatures were hot.  The winds were from the north-west at 5 to 10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s.

    Around the Buxton beaches sea mullet were reported.  Out at Cape Point “Shelley Island ” some nice puppy drum were caught.   Over on the Frisco beaches some puppy drum were caught.

    No boats out today in shore or off shore.
