Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

The beautiful weather continues! The temperature was in the lower 80’s again today and we had southwesterly winds, 6-12 mph.

Nothing exciting to report off the beach today. There have been sea mullet scattered up and down.

The inshore boats had catches of speckled trout, bluefish, spanish mackerel, cobia and red drum releases.

The offshore boats had another excellent day catching dolphin. They also had tilefish, triggerfish and grouper.

Today was the first day of the 59th Annual Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament.

Total of 55 releases on Day 1!

35 Blue Marlin Releases
16 White Marlin Releases
4 Sailfish Releases

3 boated Blue Marlin- 533.8 lbs., 484.9 lbs. & 417.7 lbs

Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

It was a beautiful day today. We had temperatures in the lower 80’s and south-south-west winds 8-12 mph.

The beach fishing is a little slow, even though the weather is nice. There are sea mullet up and down the beaches. We also had some decent size black drum caught this morning in Frisco.

The inshore boats are catching drum, speckled trout and cobia. Some have even ventured offshore and caught a few dolphin. Pictured below is Hatteras Fishing Adventure’s charter today with one of their dolphin catches on a fly rod. Nice!

The offshore dolphin bite continues. The boats are coming to the docks with their limits of dolphin and a few grouper also. There were several blue marlin and a sailfish released today.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Beautiful weather today. The temperatures were around 80 today. South-West winds today started out calm and picked up to 10 mph this afternoon.

Slower fishing off the beach today. There was scattered puppy drum and sea-mullet.

Inshore today the fishing was great. This morning in the sound there was speckled trout and bluefish. This afternoon there was a few cobia caught. There was red drum caught in the inlet throughout the day.

Offshore the bite was incredible. The marlin bite was great today multiple caught on a couple boats with even more seen. A handful of of white marlin were caught today as well. The dolphin bite was great and the black-fin and yellow-fin tuna bite was fair.

Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was much nicer with sunny skies and warmer temperatures. The winds were from the north-west switching to the south-west at 5-10 mph.

Today there were some puppy drum and sea mullet on the Buxton beach. Over on the Frisco beach a few sea mullet were caught.

The inshore boats caught spanish mackerel and speckled trout .

The offshore fleet had excellent dolphin fishing with limits caught. A few black fin tuna and wahoo were also caught. Some nice bottom action was reported with grouper and tilefish. A white marlin and sailfish were released today.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was overcast, rainy and windy. The winds were from the north-east at 10-25 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 60’s.

Today the weather was not to great for fishing. I have no reports today.

No boats fished inshore or offshore today.
